L'amour et la liberté absolue de l'amour : la grande affaire de Federico García Lorca. L'histoire s'inspire d'un fait divers dans l'Espagne catholique et machiste des années 1930, trempe dans le sang de la vendetta et l'aigreur de la violence tribale. Avec le metteur en scène d'origine colombienne Omar Porras-Speck, Noces de Sang devient une transe festive, un carnaval baroque, un rite païen d'épousailles de la terre avec la lune, de l'homme avec la louve. Les douze acteurs font corps avec la langue chantée de Lorca, dansent la pulsion cardiaque de l'écriture de Lorca. Costumes, masques et maquillages transmuent les corps en bêtes mythiques qui évoluent, lascives et envoûtées, dans un décor de tragédie lunaire. Un hymne à l'amour indomptable, à la femme sauvage.

Love and the absolute freedom of love are the grand concerns of Federico García Lorca. The story is drawn from a news item in the Catholic, macho Spain of the 1930s, soaked in the blood of vendettas and the bitterness of tribal violence. Under Colombian director Omar Porras-Speck, Noces de Sang becomes a festive trance, a baroque carnival, a pagan rite of marriage between the earth and the moon, between a man and a she-wolf. The twelve actors embody Lorca¹s melodic language, dancing the heartbeat of his writing. Costumes, masks and make-up transmute bodies into mythical beasts that perform, lascivious and bewitched, this lunar tragedy. A hymn to indomitable love, to the wild woman.
