THE ARTIST AS WITNESS?
Whereas here in Quebec we live far from the killing grounds and battlefields, some of our artists bear witness in their work to the absolute hell endured by entire societies. To mark the Montreal presentation of Lars Norén's Guerre, we have brought together four artists, all haunted by war, who will share their pressing need to speak out and give voice to the dead. Hosted by journalist Michaelle Jean, the forum will feature Madeleine Gagnon, a poet and author of Les Femmes et la guerre, Josée Lambert, a photographer who recently published On les disait terroristes and Wajdi Mouawad, a playwright and director.
-Professional workshops...

POINTS OF FRICTION, POINTS OF CONVERGENCE
For the past 12 years, Nadia Ross and Jacob Wren have combined their
experiences to create plural, very complex worlds. From one play to
another, the collaboration inherent to their theatrical approach
transforms their creative process. These two multi-disciplinary Toronto
artists will talk with theatre students and practitioners about the
working methods they have developed over the years.
