Supersonic Theatre
Bewitched by her actress, Marie Brassard is literally swept away. While speaking to a dear friend who lives in New York, she finds herself at the scene of an accident. A suburban street, a school textbook, pages blowing in the wind. A little girl vanishes and a young skinhead dances with the ghost of his little sister. The actress is overwhelmed. The skinhead shows up in Marie Brassards apartment, casts her in the role of the mother, someone able to give voice and image to his abject grief. On stage with a dancer/actor, Marie Brassard plays with voices, soundtracks and lighting effects, intermixing levels of reality. The audience is taken on a supersonic flight to a theatre that dreams of an ode to friendship for someone on the other end of the line.

Marie Brassard and Infrarouge Theatre
Since the beginning of her career, Marie Brassard has focussed almost exclusively on theatre, even though she has also worked in film and television. A valued ally of Robert Lepage, she played an active role in mounting his plays, such as The Dragons Trilogy, Polygraph, The Seven Streams of the River Ota and Geometry of Miracles. Her prodigious creative energy led to her working with Dominic Champagne and Alexis Martin before founding her own company two years ago, INFRAROUGE THÉÂTRE, which has become an impressive creative powerhouse. Her first solo play, Jimmy, créature de rêve, was an irresistible piece that has been translated into English and German and has been touring Europe, the U.S. and Canada for the past two years.
