CANCELLATION OF
CHUTES INCANDESCENTES

Montreal, 21 May 2010 – The Festival TransAmériques regrets to announce that it must cancel the three performances of Chutes incandescentes by Clara Furey and Benoît Lachambre, scheduled to take place on May 29, 30 and 31, 2010 at the Agora de la danse.  The performance was eagerly awaited, and in fact was sold out soon after tickets went on sale. Clara Furey injured her ribs during a rehearsal, and is unfortunately unable to present Chutes incandescentes at the FTA.

Those who have purchased tickets for the show may exchange them for tickets to either Nearly 90² or Miroku, the opening and closing performances of this year’s Festival, or may obtain a reimbursement.

Two options are available:

- TICKET EXCHANGE. Go to the FTA box office at Centre Pierre-Péladeau, 300 de Maisonneuve Blvd. East. Exchange the Chutes incandescentes ticket for a ticket to the opening show of the Festival, Nearly 90², to be presented on May 27 and 28 at 8 p.m. in Théâtre Maisonneuve at Place des Arts; OR exchange it for a ticket to the closing show of the Festival, Miroku, by Saburo Teshigawara, to be presented on June 11 and 12 at 8 p.m. in Théâtre Maisonneuve at Place des Arts.

- REIMBURSEMENT at the ticket point of purchase or at the FTA box office, 300 de Maisonneuve Blvd. East.

The Festival TransAmériques shares the disappointment of Festival audiences upon learning this news, and is sorry for any inconvenience caused by the cancellation of the show. We extend our good wishes for swift recovery to Clara Furey, a very promising dancer, singer and musician. We share with you hopes that she will be better as soon as possible, so that she can once again light up the stage.
