In Vienna on August 17 during the closing ceremony of the ImPulsTanz Festival, something exceptional occurred. The director and co-founder of the Austrian festival, Karl Regensburger, “spontaneously created an award” for Yellow Towel, the solo by Montreal choreographer Dana Michel (presented at Festival TransAmériques in 2013)!”

Gil Desautels succeeds Mme Paule Leduc
The board of directors of the Festival TransAmériques has announced a new chairman of the board. After 20 years as board chair, Mme Paule Leduc, a corporate director and past rector of UQAM, is handing the position over to Gil Desautels, an FTA director since 1999 who assumed his new duties as chairman at a board meeting on June 17, 2014.
