Montreal, 31 May 2012 – The Festival TransAmériques regrets that it must cancel the three performances of Solitudes solo by Daniel Léveillé, scheduled to have been presented on June 7, 8, and 9, 2012 at the Théâtre Rouge in the Conservatoire. Two of the five dancers in the piece have been injured, and it is thus impossible to present the performance.
The Festival TransAmériques is offering those with tickets to Solitudes solo the possibility of exchanging them for tickets to another presentation of their choice, depending on availability. The value of the ticket will be applied toward a reservation for a ticket to the alternate piece.
Dance shows to be presented over the next few days include Cesena by Belgian choreographer Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker, Sous la peau, la nuit by Danièle Desnoyers, Aaléef by the Moroccan dance pioneer Taoufik Izzediou, Mygale by Nicolas Cantin and Goodbye by Mélanie Demers.
Ticket holders have two options:
- EXCHANGE. Contact the initial point of purchase where you bought your ticket to Solitudes solo and exchange it for a ticket to another show of your choice. The value of your ticket will be applied to your reservation for that alternate show.
- REIMBURSEMENT at the initial point of purchase.
The Festival TransAmériques wishes to ensure all festivalgoers that it shares their disappointment that this dance piece has been cancelled. We wish the dancers a speedy recovery, and hope they will be back on the boards as soon as possible!
